(AP) -- JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) -- The Missouri Supreme Court has agreed to hear arguments in an election dispute involving a state House district in southeast Missouri.

The court has scheduled arguments for Jan. 3 in a case that centers on the scope of a re-vote in the 150th House District.

Republican Kent Hampton defeated Democrat Tom Todd in the Nov. 6 election, but some voters who live in a neighboring district were given ballots for the 150th District, and vice versa.

A judge had scheduled a new vote Jan. 8 in three precincts located in Dunklin County. But Todd has contended that a district-wide re-vote should occur.
