PHELPS COUNTY, Mo. -- Two teenagers are dead and one person seriously injured after a crash in Rolla.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 17-year-old Nikki Stanley was driving on Interstate 44 with her friends, 21-year old Cory Rose, and 18-year old Alexa Bartlett, when she lost control of the car near 188 mile marker in the eastbound lane.

The car traveled off the right side of the road, hit several trees, and overturned.

Stanley and Barlett were ejected from the car during the crash. They were pronounced dead on the scene by the Phelps County Deputy Coroner. Neither victims were found to be wearing seatbelts during the crash.

Rose was taken to Phelps County Regional Medical Center by ambulance with serious injuries.
