Arrest made in 1999 MU residence hall rape case

A lead from the Highway Patrol Crime Lab led to the arrest

University of Missouri police have arrested 47-year-old Marvin Jones for a 1999 rape case.

Police cited a "significant" lead from the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crime Lab in their arrest report.

Jones was charged with felony forcible rape, felony burglary and two counts of felony forcible sodomy.

The rape occurred on Oct. 16, 1999, at the Gillett residence hall.
