(AP) -- MARSHALL, Mo. (AP) -- A 32-year-old Sedalia woman faces murder charges in the death of her 18-month-old child whose body was found along a central Missouri river in July.

Lydia M. Iliff was charged Wednesday with second-degree murder, tampering and endangering the welfare of a child, all felonies. An autopsy showed that her child died of dehydration and exposure.

The Marshall Democrat-News reports that authorities have been investigating the child's death since early July when Iliff turned up alone at a rural Saline County home disoriented and dehydrated and saying she didn't know where her child was. A late-night search with more than 70 volunteers then found the child's body near the Blackwater River near Marshall.

Online court records don't list a lawyer for Iliff, who's in custody on $150,000 bond.
