Two tried to run and hide from police in a nearby wooded area
Two people tried to run from police when the car they were riding in got pulled over.
The two ran into a nearby wooded area, so police set up a perimeter and called in the K9 unit. The pair was tracked down and taken into custody for outstanding warrants and resisting arrest.
The driver and another passenger, both of whom remained in the vehicle, were also taken into custody.The driver was arrested for numerous traffic violations, while the passenger had outstanding warrants.
The stop occurred in the 1500 block of Swifts Highway in Jefferson City late Tuesday night.
