OSAGE BEACH, Mo. -- A unique kind of family was in Osage Beach Tuesday to talk a little politics, faith, and family.

The Duggars family would probably know something about that, as the largest known family in the county and stars of TLC's '19 Kids and Counting'

They were in Osage Beach at the Main Street Music Hall, to perform music and talk about some of their beliefs on politics and religion.

They were also there on behalf of Missouri Senatorial candidate Todd Akin.

Although they never said explicitly why they are backing Akin, some of Akin's people think they know why.

"I think because they believe in his message.,“ said Akin representative Brett Adams ”He has a pro-family message, and I believe that is something that resounds with them and people like them."

Akin himself did not make an appearance at the event.

Earlier that day, Akin's opponent, incumbent Democratic senator Claire McCaskill was waitressing at the Flat Branch Pub and Brewery in Columbia, as part of her campaign's point to show her support for student financial aid programs.
