It's October, and that means it's time for fall festivals.

The Holts Summit harvest festival kicked off today, and people displayed some of their finest local produce, jewlery, food, and crafts.

the event included a kid's cupcake decorating contest, a look-a-like contest, a quilt auction with the money going to area groups, and a washer toss tournament.

For some festival goers like Matt Richardson, it's an annual event.

"Yep, pretty much every year they've got some type of activity,” said Richardson. “I've got a niece or nephew or one or the other singing in here, always singing, doing something."

As Matt mentioned, there was live music from some local elementary school choirs.
