A Columbia couple is behind bars after a meth lab bust in Boone County.

A sheriff's deputy arrested 33-year-old Richard Wright and 32-year-old Lacey Wright last night after pulling the couple over near Northland Drive and Parker Street.

The arrest stemmed from an investigation last week, during which officials found an active meth lab at the couple's property in the 7400 block of North Highway West.

The two were arrested for distribution of a controlled substance and taken to the Boone County Jail.

Richard was also arrested for possession and had outstanding warrants in Callaway, Cooper and Cole counties.
