A crash in Audrain County sent four people, including two babies, to the hospital yesterday.

The crash happened just before 5:30 p.m. on route J, a half mile mile north of Audrain County road 3-40.

The Highway patrol says 16-year-old Harlie Tapley of Vandalia suffered a medical condition while driving.

The medical condition caused Tapley's car to steer off the road, hit a tree, an embankment, then finally stopping in a creek.

Tapley and two baby boys were both taken to University hospital with minor injuries.

30-year-old Crystal Waters, also of Vandalia, was taken by helicopter to University hospital with moderate injuries.
