KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- Kansas City police say a man shot and wounded a female parking lot employee at the Truman Sports Complex before killing himself.
The shootings occurred around 3:30 p.m. Friday in an area between Arrowhead Stadium and Kauffman Stadium.
Police Sergeant Stacey Graves says the woman was taken to a hospital in critical condition. Officers found the man in a car, dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot.
The Kansas City Royals said Friday night's game with the Anaheim Angels would be played at Kauffman as scheduled. One gate and one parking area were closed late Friday afternoon.
Names of the man and woman were not immediately released. Police said the two had some kind of relationship, but officers did not have details.
