Attorney General Chris Koster said Wednesday his office was told about two incidents where customers were quoted one price when they booked rooms at the downtown Tiger Hotel, then charged nearly double when they arrived.
After Kosters office got involved, the Tiger Hotel tucked it's tail and agreed to refund the customers money.
The hotel sent us a statement that doesn't offer a direct apology but said, “W
e want to ensure a first-rate luxury hotel experience for each of our guests, and we want to assure all future guests of this commitment."
According to Koster's office the hotel says the mix-up over rates happened because of a third party online booking site.
Koster said any customers who were charged more than their promised rate should file a complaint with his office.
