COLUMBIA, MO. -- A man chased others with a knife and threw a beer at a 6-year-old.
Just before 1 a.m. Tuesday, Columbia police went to 1920 West Broadway for a call about a disturbance involving a knife.
The perpetrator, Terry Butler, was chasing people across Broadway with a knife. Apparently, Butler became upset during at party at the residence. He then went upstairs and threw a beer at the child.
People were starting to leave the party when Butler got into an argument with another man and pulled out a box cutter, threatening to kill everyone. When the other man decided to leave, Butler started chasing him outside with a knife.
Butler was arrested for armed criminal action (x3), endangering the welfare of a child in the first degree (x2), endangering the welfare of a child in the second degree, second degree assault (x3), third degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon.
