(AP) -- MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- The death of a southeast Missouri man has been ruled a homicide.

The Southeast Missourian reported that an autopsy was conducted Friday on the body of 35-year-old Jefferey Scott Robins. It confirmed that Robins died of a gunshot wound to the back of his head. The autopsy also showed that the deadly shot was fired by someone else.

Robins was found dead Thursday in his rural Bollinger County home. His two daughters and a son made the discovery.

Robins was the owner of HJR Towing and Recovery in Marble Hill. Part of his work entailed repossessing vehicles. Bollinger County Sheriff Leo McElrath says Robins' job could have made him many enemies.

McElrath says authorities are exploring "a long list" of potential suspects and persons of interest.
