A Jefferson City neighborhood breathes a sigh of relief after two people were arrested for assaulting two students.
The arrests stem from an attack on two freshman football players last week on Jackson Street.
Rodriguez Harris, 17, was arrested along with a juvenile.
One of the attacked students was knocked out completely and suffered a concussion. The other has a fractured cheek bone.
While the school and police think is could be an isolated incident, they did send home a note with Simonson students.
The school has also made it easier for athletes to take a bus to the high school.
David Luther said, "We are releasing the students who are involved in activities five minutes early...The activities bus is right at the start of the line, so now what happens is they get straight on the bus and exit Simonson and that will take them right on over to the high school so they are actually getting there quicker now than they would have if they were walking."
