Man with butcher knife robs gas station

Columbia PD are still looking for him

COLUMBIA, MO. -- A man with a butcher knife robbed a Shell station a little before noon on Sunday.

He entered the station, located at 904 I-70 Drive Southwest, and demanded money from the clerk, all while holding the butcher knife. The man took the cash register drawer and the employee’s purse, before running away.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol K-9 unit attempted to find the thief, but was unsuccessful.

There were no injuries and the investigation is ongoing.

SUSPECT DESCRIPTION:
White male, 5’10", approximately 280 lbs., short cropped gray hair with a bald spot on the back of his head. He had a mustache and a chinstrap beard, and was last seen wearing a maroon long-sleeve, button-down shirt with a red t-shirt underneath, blue jeans and black shoes.

If anyone has any information about this robbery or knows the identity of the suspect in the video surveillance photos, contact the Columbia Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 875-TIPS to remain anonymous.
