Volunteers with Jefferson City’s Make a Wish Foundation are having a series of fundraising car washes.

Money from the fundraisers will help fulfill the dream of an ill 3-year-old Jefferson City girl.

Volunteers spent Sunday afternoon washing cars in the Jefferson City K-Mart parking lot.

Organizers have raised more than $800 toward their goal of $1,500.

Make a Wish volunteer Debi Eichholz said, “These kids need all of the dreams they can get.  They make dreams everyday.  It’s important for the terminally ill children and everything else.”

If you missed Sunday’s car wash, the Jefferson City Applebee’s will hold a Kiddie Carnival fundraiser on Tuesday night.

You can also attend another car wash next weekend in the parking lot of the Jefferson City Applebee’s restaurant to support the Make a Wish Foundation.
