Sunday was day 4 at this year’s Missouri State Fair in Sedalia.

Fair officials say this year’s attendance is up because of the recent fair weather.

Parking lots at the fair have been full at various times of the day causing some inconvenience for some fair goers.

Still, hundreds of thousands of people are enjoying carnival rides, fair food and live entertainment throughout the fairgrounds.

Fair officials try to offer something new every year.

Fair Director Mark Wolfe said, “We have to do a combination with the old and the new all of the time to keep it exciting.  People come to the state fair every year and they expect things like pig races, the livestock shows and those basic Ag Fair things that we do.”

Wolfe said there are many more free entertainment acts at the fairgrounds this year.

The Missouri State Fair runs through August 19.
