Boone County and Columbia firefighters responded to a house fire yesterday in the 64-hundred block of South Gateway Drive.

When crews arrived at the route "K" home, they found the house engulfed in flames.

Two people got out unharmed and so did their dog.

It took firefighters about 45 minutes to get the flames under control.

Investigators are still working to determine the cause of the fire and to estimate the damage.
