He fired at SWAT officers, who later found drugs in the residence

Miller has been charged by the prosecuter with the following:
Felony Possession Of A Firearm
Felony Assault/Attempt Assault of a Law Enforcement Officer
He's being held on a $500,000 bond.

On Thursday at 4:40 a.m., the Jefferson City Police Department SWAT team served a search warrant for drugs at an apartment in the 1104 E. McCarty St. Apartment A.
Once inside, they loudly and repeatedly said, "Police!" As officers did this, shots were fired by the occupant and suspect, 32-year-old Albert Miller of Jefferson City.
No officers were hit by the gunfire or injured in any manner and Miller was taken into custody without further incident.
Once Miller was in custody, officers recovered the semi-automatic handgun that he used. Officers also found a small amount of heroin and a larger amount of crack cocaine during the search.
Albert Miller is currently in the Cole County Jail awaiting multiple charges which include:
Assault in the 1st Degree of a Law Enforcement Officer
Armed Criminal Action
Felon in Possession of a Firearm
Possession with Intent to Sell Crack Cocaine (prior offender)
Possession of a Controlled Substance (heroin) – Persistent Offender
The investigation of this incident is continuing.
