(AP) -- CHESTERFIELD, Mo. (AP) -- An 18-year-old man who was driving the wrong way on U.S. 40 near St. Louis is dead after sideswiping a Greyhound bus and hitting another car.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports the man, whose identity wasn't immediately released, is from the St. Louis area.

The drivers of the bus and second car, along with a passenger on the bus, were taken to area hospitals with injuries that weren't considered life-threatening.

Chesterfield Police spokesman Capt. Steve Lewis says the crash happened around 3:30 a.m. in the westbound lane of the highway, also known as Interstate 64.

Lewis says police had gotten a report before the incident about a wrong-way driver headed east in the westbound lanes.
