Fatal head-on collision in Gasconade County

A crash early yesterday in Gasconade County killed a man.

The highway patrol says a car driven by 20-year-old Selvin Garth of Linn crossed the center line of Highway 50 near Route P and hit a vehicle nearly head on.

The vehicle hit was driven by 56-year-old Homer Steinbeck of Bland.

Steinbeck was pronounced dead at the scene.

Garth was life-flighted to a St Louis hospital.
