Police arrested Keith Brim after a high speed chase in Boone County.

Boone County sheriff's deputies tried to stop the stolen vehicle Brim was driving eastbound on I-70 from the midway area last night around 7:30p.m.

Brim refused to stop and led deputies on a chase through the I-70/63 connector and continued through northeast Columbia. Brim was reportedly heading toward his home in the 16 hundred block of Hanover Boulevard.

Authorities say at times Brim drove more than 70-miles an hour in densely populated areas.

After driving through yards in the Hanover area, the stolen vehicle came to rest on a large set of concrete steps.

Brim fled into a nearby building, but later surrendered.

He was arrested for first degree tampering, resisting arrest, property damage and driving while suspended.
