(AP) -- KENNETT, Mo. (AP) -- More than 15 years after the death of a southeast Missouri man, investigators are taking a new look at the case.
George Conder, of Kennett, was 49 when he went missing in November 1996. His remains were found in February 1997 wrapped in black plastic and bound together with nylon rope near the St. Francis River.
Dunklin County Sheriff Bob Holder told the Kennett Daily Dunklin Democrat he's hopeful that people who were unwilling to talk 15 years ago will now be ready to do so.
Holder says there have long been rumors about the killing and new information continues to come in from time to time.
