A Jefferson City woman stabbed two people this weekend.

Police officers were dispatched to 116 Ventura Ave. at 12:14 a.m. Sunday, where they found the two victims. The first victim, 41-year-old Leslie Blank of Jefferson City, had a stab wound to her buttocks. The second victim, 37-year-old Shane Otto, also of Jefferson City, had a stab wound to his hand.

Stacy Bax, 40, first told officers she was assaulted in the parking lot at the location and that she had stabbed someone.

The on-scene investigation determined that Bax and Blank had had a fight over the phone. They agreed to meet, when Bax became angry and pulled out a butcher knife and stabbed Blank and Otto.

The victims' wounds were minor and they were treated at a local hospital and released.

Bax is in custody in the Cole County jail pending charges for second degree assault (one count for each victim) and armed criminal action.
