Man in critical condition after overnight shooting

A man is in critical condition after being shot in Columbia.

At 5 a.m., police received a call about a man with a gunshot wound and went to 2311 South Providence Road.

Once there, police found a 21-year-old injured by a gunshot. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Investigators are processing the scene and conducting interviews.

There is little information about what happened and no arrests have been made.
