A Jefferson City band teacher arrested for sexual contact with a student was scheduled to be in court Wednesday.

Christopher Knehans trial hearing was scheduled for 9:00 a.m. in Cole County.

Knehans was the band teacher at Thomas Jefferson Middle School and an assistant at the high school.

Knehans was put on administrative leave in October when he was charged with two felony counts of sexual contact with a student.

In March, he officially resigned amidst these allegations.

In Knehan's trial on June 14th, his attorney made the motion to seal the court file.
