The Boone County Sheriff’s Department is looking for the person or group of people who vandalized a cemetery.

14 tombstones, some dating back to the mid-19th century, were toppled at the Farwest cemetery on N. Barnes Road, east of Centralia.

A neighbor reported the vandalism on July 4th. Deputies believe the vandalism happened sometime between May 30th and the day of the report.

Anyone with information is urged to contact CrimeStoppers at 875-TIPS. They’re offering a reward for information that leads to an arrest.
