BELLE -- Early Sunday morning at about 2 a.m. Belle Police officers went to a trailer the 700-block of East Fifth Street for a burglary in progress.
When they got there, the residents told them when they got home they saw this man, Devin Gehlert, 25, passed out on their couch after they say he drank their beer.
The residents said they tried unsuccessfully to get the man to leave and that's when they called the police.
Witnesses told police Gehlert broke out a window of the trailer.
The Belle man also had an active warrant for three counts of second burglary from an investigation last month.
Gehlert was arrested for trespassing, stealing, property damage, and burglary as well as his active felony warrant.
He's at the Maries County Jail on a $60,000 bond.
