The Southern Boone school board president has quit.

Bridget Canaday gave her letter of resignation to the school board on Friday. The board is holding a special meeting on Monday to accept her resignation.

This comes just days after the district's assistant superintendent Carolyn Deffenbaugh resigned. In that letter, she accused the district of bias and corruption.

Per board policy, the board vice president Ellen Kesterson will take over as president.
