Fire destroys garage property

Boone County firefighters are investigating a garage fire that happened about 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

The owner of a home at 5650 North Creasy Springs Road called 911 after smoke appeared in his garage.

About 20 firefighters quickly extinguished the flames in the garage before the fire spread inside the home.

Two cats were rescued during the emergency.

No one was injured.
