Elizabeth Smart will speak tonight at the Moberly Area Community College on Tuesday as a part of Moberly Regional Medical Center's Healthy Woman program.
The abduction of Smart was one of the most followed child abduction cases. She was abducted in 2002 and held prisoner for nine months.
Smart will share her insight into overcoming extreme adversity in a traumatic situation.
The dinner and program starts at 5:30 p.m. at Fitzsimmons-John Arena. VIP tickets for the dinner and program are $25 each and general admission is $10.
