FULTON -- Authorities arrested a Fulton man was arrested Thursday for suspicion of the possession of child pornography.
The Boone County Cyber Crimes Task Force said the investigation on Elias D. Fletcher, 27, began in late April 2012 when a detective with the St. Louis County Cyber Crimes Unit identified a Missouri computer network offering child pornography though a file sharing program.
The Task Force said during the investigation several child pornography movies were downloaded by the detective and the St. Louis County Police Cyber Crimes detective worked with the St. Charles County Cyber Crimes Unit to trace the files to a home computer network in Fulton.
From there, the Boone County Cyber Crimes Task Force and Fulton Police Department took over.
On Thursday, June 14 a search warrant was served at Fletcher’s apartment, in the 1400-block of Mokane Road.
Fletcher was arrested on suspicion of the possession of more then one video of child pornography.
He was taken to the Callaway County Jail and has a $30,000 bond.
