Moving is always difficult, and for some University of Missouri students, the move meant leaving things behind.

Now, the University of Missouri is getting ready for it's annual surplus auction.

"If they're unclaimed bikes why not", said Andy Meyers.

If you left your bike on the M-U campus it's about to be spun off at auction.

The campus' surplus property warehouse has hundreds of bikes that were abandoned on campus and need new homes.

Meyers says that sits well with him, "Me and my girlfriend have been riding bikes on trails like the Katy Trail and stuff and we wanted to see if we could get some better bikes for cheap".

Tuesday the surplus was open for public viewing.

"Yeah I see some good stuff", Meyers said.

You could kick the tires, pick your brand, and get geared up to bid on August 22nd.

Bikes are the big draw, but on Wednesday they'll auction off old computers, electronics, office furniture, and even cars. The auction starts at 10a.m.

Turn off Stadium onto Rock Quarry then on to Capen Park Road and watch for the signs.
