A Jefferson City man will get probation for an attempted home invasion in March.

Matthew Ornt received a suspended sentence for unlawful use of a weapon and resisting arrest in connection to an attempted burglary.

On March 5, police were called to an apartment on East Atchison where the resident said someone was trying to break in.

Ornt then lead police on a short foot chase.
