Misdemeanor charge for Mizzou quarterback

COLUMBIA, MO -- Corbin Berkstresser, a quarterback for the University of Missouri, was charged with a misdemeanor for leaving the scene of an accident on May 15.

Berkstresser, of Lee's Summit, was then suspended from the football team on May 17. The suspension is expected to last until the charge is resolved. If the charge is lessened or dropped, the athlete can appeal the suspension.
