Update, 4:50 p.m.:
After Walker was taken to the Callaway County Jail, the Fulton Police Department was notified by Columbia PD that a warrant had just been issued for him for discharge/shoot firearm at or from motor vehicle/shoot at person, motor vehicle or building/habitable structure . He was arrested for this charge and an additional $50,000 bond was added with the new charge. This, plus the $25,000 bond for the charges below, makes his total bond $75,000.

A Columbia man led Fulton police on a vehicle and foot chase on Friday.
Police were dispatched at about 11:40 a.m. to the Walmart on North Bluff, where they found Demetries Walker, 20, driving away. Officers tried to stop him at 10th Street and Bluff, but Walker continued driving. The vehicle chase went to the 9th Street/Westminster Avenue area, where Walker left his vehicle and attempted to evade police on foot.
After a short foot chase, Walker was taken into custody. He faces charges for stealing, resisting arrest, careless and imprudent driving, driving while revoked and property damage.
During the chase, Walker drove on a closed road – where workers were actively doing construction – and damaged construction materials.
He was taken to Callaway County Jail.
