Columbia West Boulevard Elementary School students got a chance to see some law enforcement action on their playground on Tuesday afternoon.

Columbia police officers gave a Show and Tell presentation as part of their Partners in Education program with the school.

The officers displayed several police vehicles including a patrol car, a new patrol Tahoe, a police motorcycle and the department’s SWAT Peacekeeper.

The kids took turns coming out in groups to see the vehicles and talk to the officers.

Second grader Alyssa Lashbrook said, “The funnest thing that I’ve seen is the first car.  That big car has a lot of room.  The small car doesn’t have a lot of space because it’s a small car.”

Police said their Show and Tell event gives students a better understanding of law enforcement’s role in society and shows that police officers are their friends.
