JEFFERSON CITY -- Jefferson City police are looking for a man involved in an attempted armed robbery.

At about 11:30 p.m. on Thursday police officers responded to a panic alarm at the BreakTime Convenience Store on West Main St.

When they got to the scene a 35-year-old resident said he was approached by a man while he was cleaning the lot outside who threatened him and demanded money.

When the victim refused to cooperate the robber left on foot.

The robber is described as a white male, wearing all black clothing, black shoes, and was wearing a royal blue ski mask.

The victim told officers the robber displayed a black semi-automatic handgun.
