The MU football player who was arrested Tuesday has been suspended from the team.

The MU Athletics Department has confirmed Corbin Berkstresser has been suspended indefinitely.

Officials said that's the standard procedure for any student athlete involved in a felony arrest. The suspension is expected to last until the charge is resolved. If the charge is lessened or dropped, the athlete can appeal the suspension.

The freshman quarterback was arrested early Tuesday morning for leaving the scene of an accident.
