The streets were extremely busy this weekend in Columbia. The thick traffic had everything to do with the thousands of people in town celebrating college graduation. The local businesses were celebrating something of their own... a boost in business.

Susan Bell, the general manager of the Hampton Inn & Suites told us, “Graduation is a big weekend for us every year. Almost as big as a football weekend, maybe bigger!”

A congested city can cause some frustrations.

Situations like parking and waiting to be seated both require extra patience on a weekend like this.

Steven Vuckovich, the assistant manager at Bandana's commented, “Its been crazy, I love it, I love meeting all the new people.”

As the busy weekend comes to a close we congratulate and thank the graduates and their families.
