The Osage County ambulance district has let go two administrators for "double-dipping" into county funds.

County leaders told KRCG that Mark Schaefer and Kerry Montgomery were getting paid as administrators of the Osage Ambulance District board, while scheduling themselves as EMTs, and using unnecessary overtime hours.

They said this lead to other workers being shorted regular time hours.

Both Schaefer and Montgomery were put on administrative leave on May 2nd. On May 9th, they were both let go, and according to a note posted on the district's window, so was board president Jim Hulse.

Hulse was let go on May 8th after a district meeting where members gave a 5-0 vote of no confidence with the board president.

The ambulance board treasurer says he thinks Schaefer and Montgomery had been getting nearly double their actual pay for more than two years.

The exact amount is still being investigated.

No word on any charges being filed against Schaefer or Montgomery yet.
