Two St. Louis residents were arrested after police said they were selling heroin from a Columbia hotel. Latrice McGruder and Tony Antwane Jones were arrested for distribution of a controlled substance.

On Tuesday, Columbia police got information that the two were selling heroin out of the Extended Stay America Hotel on Business Loop 60.

Officers scouted out the hotel Tuesday. Then Wednesday at noon, they searched the suspects' room. Officers found 12 grams of heroin, or enough for about 120 transactions.

Police said the two had been in Columbia for nearly two weeks selling heroin. The drugs resulted in one known non-fatal overdose.
