OSAGE COUNTY -- The Osage County Sheriff Department is currently investigating a couple of fights breaking out an underage drinking party in Freeburg.

Deputies said it happened late Saturday night at the Lion's Club Center off Hwy 63 South, when 200 minors were gathered at a party where alcohol was available to them.

The fights were reportedly centered around someone stealing beer from a pick-up truck. The Sheriff Department said that one person suffered minor cuts from a broken beer bottle.

Deputies are also currently investigating an alleged sexual assault at the party involving a 14-year-old girl.

Osage County Sheriff Carl Fowler says these types of underage drinking parties are fairly commonplace in Osage County.
