Christopher Hill was arrested for his connection to a shake and bake methamphetamine lab.

Authorities have arrested the man involved with Thursday’s standoff with the Columbia Police SWAT Team.
Officers arrested Christopher Hill, 46, for his alleged connection to a meth lab in Columbia’s Holly Park Trailer Court.
Hill refused to leave his trailer during a standoff with police that lasted several hours on Thursday. When he Hill eventually surrendered peacefully, police took him to a hospital. Hill stayed in a doctor’s care until he was arrested on Monday and brought to the Boone County Jail.
Officers used a search warrant to find meth and a shake and bake meth lab in hill’s trailer. Shake and bake meth dealers use plastic bottles to mix their chemicals.
Police also arrested Hill’s girlfriend Stacy Richardson. Richardson told investigators that she knew Hill was making meth in their home. Shake and bake meth dealers don’t cook their chemicals. The shaking process is still dangerous.
Columbia police officer Stephanie Drouin said, “Anytime you mix chemicals like that, you risk an explosion. More importantly, the chemicals themselves produce a toxic gas that can be fatal or cause permanent injury.”
Hill also has a felony state warrant for failure to appear in court on a previous drug charge.
Police also arrested a 15-year-old boy at the scene of the standoff for alleged possession of drugs and a switchblade knife.
Another man was also arrested during the incident for possessing drug paraphernalia.
The investigation continues.

Christopher Hill, 46, was arrested on Monday afternoon for his involvement in the Holly Park Trailer Court incident on Thursday involving the Columbia Police SWAT team. When police arrived on Thursday, Hill refused to exit the trailer, which resulted in a stand off lasting several hours. When Hill eventually exited the trailer, he was transported to the hospital where he remained until yesterday.
As a result of the incident, a search warrant was issued for the residence at 2001 Holly, lot number 141. Inside the residence, officers located signs of a "shake and bake" methamphetamine lab. Methamphetamine was also found.
Hill’s girlfriend, Stacy Richardson, who was also arrested in connection to the case, told police she was aware Hill was manufacturing methamphetamine in her home.
Hill was arrested for distribution of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, use or possession of drug paraphernalia, and a felony state warrant for failure to appear in court stemming from a drug charge. Hill is also on probation for possession of methamphetamine.
On Thursday, a 15-year-old juvenile was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession or sale of a prohibited weapon.
