A motel in Columbia will be cited for safety violations by the city of Columbia after a 1-year-old fell from a second story balcony.
Columbia firefighters showed up at the Super 7 Motel on Rangeline Street after they received a call that the toddler fell.
When they arrived, they found him on the pavement below the balcony.
He was rushed to University Hospital and his condition is not known at this time.
Officials believe that the toddler fell through a damaged part of the railing on the balcony.
