There is another special school board meeting Thursday night at Blair Oaks.

Superintendent Dr. Jim Jones told KRCG Thursday’s meeting is a continuation of Tuesday’s meeting. That’s when the school board held a closed door meeting to discuss elementary school principal Lorie Winslow.

In February, the board chose not to renew Winsow's contract for the 2012-2013 school year. That decision happened when Superintendent Jones told the board Winslow didn't handle teacher evaluations properly.

Tuesday night, parents were upbeat about the board listening to the public.

One parent said, "These school board members are just members of our community who have stepped up to serve so I know they have been giving this a lot of personal reflection and I respect that they have a tough decision ahead of them but I do believe they have been listening to their district taxpayers."

Dr. Jones said the board could make their decision at the end of Thursday’s board meeting. The board is required to release that decision to the public within 72 hours of the decision being made.
