The Major Crimes Unit is investigating a home invasion that left a Columbia resident injured.

It happened at 8:30 p.m. Sunday night in the 2800-block of Mexico Gravel Road.

Columbia Police told KRCG that three black males armed with handguns forced their way into the home and shot rounds into the air.

One of the men hit a resident in the head with a gun.

They then left the home and ran to Paris Road, which is where they reportedly started shooting at an unidentified black male. As of right now its unclear if he was injured.

Police said the men wore bandanas over their faces and all three are in their early 20's.

We will continue to update this story once we know more about the incident.
