Apartment fire at Courtyard Apartments in Columbia

Boone County and Columbia fire crews were busy Friday morning responding to an apartment fire.

The Columbia Fire Department said the fire started in a second story apartment at Courtyard Apartments on Ash Street in Columbia.

Fire fighters said a woman was taken to the University Hospital in Columbia for minor burns.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

An assistant fire marshal estimates the damages to cost $150,000.
