Police search for missing teen

Update: Tuesday, March 27th at 2:00 P.M.:

Columbia Police said Clayton McKenzie has been found safe and unharmed.

He was located in the area of Ponderosa Street and South Cowan Road.

Police got a call about a person matching Clayton’s description walking in the area of Highway 63 and Ponderosa. A Boone County Deputy later found him walking on the road.

Columbia Police are looking for a missing teenager who could be in danger.

Police are searching the area of Berrywood and Keene for 17-year-old Clayton McKenzie.

He is a white male, 5'10", 160 lbs, short brown hair and brown eyes. Clayton was wearing blue jeans, checkered shirt, Converse shoes, gray hooded sweatshirt and possibly glasses when he was last seen.

Clayton has a disability that requires he take regular medications.

Clayton was with his mother who had an appointment in the area Tuesday morning. When she returned to her car, Clayton was gone. Due to his disability and related health issues, police said there is concern for Clayton's safety.
 
If you have seen Clayton, or think you may have seen him, please contact police immediately by calling 911.

Columbia Police do not have a picture of Clayton to give out at this time.
