COLUMBIA, MO. -- Columbia police investigators have no new leads on a weekend armed robbery at a Columbia hotel.

It happened Saturday at 3:07 p.m. at the Red Roof Inn, on East Texas Avenue.

Authorities said they can’t give any specific details of the crime because it’s ongoing investigation.

Columbia police said a woman was in her hotel room.  A man entered her room, pointed a gun at her and demanded money.  The armed robber took an unknown amount of cash and left on foot.

Investigators won’t say if the man forced his way into the room or if the woman opened the door and let him in.  Police wouldn’t say whether the victim and the suspect knew each other.

The suspect is described as a white male, 27 to 30 years old, 5-foot-7, with a thin build with blond hair and glasses.  He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a T-shirt.
